Employees’ Provident Fund and Miscellaneous Act 1952 under the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India, is a social security scheme intended to protect the interest of the workers employed in factories and other establishments. The Act mainly provides retirement or old age benefits, such as Provident Fund, Pension and Deposit-Linked Insurance to the employees of the establishment registered under EPF and MP Act.
